Does it have usual floor to celing steel shelving?
Will the scanners move around, or will you just scan boxes on a conduit?
I have Wispy from http://www.metageek.net/ which, while a toy, is much
nicer than working with data you can get from generic linux drivers.
Get someone to bring a real spectrum analyzer on site, and play with a few
APs.

(I am not an expert. Hey Tony, are you still on the list?)

- depending on the building's construction you will likely end up usigng
a few access points with directional antennas (to separate signals
and minimize interference).
- POE and central management are worth the premium, but a BestBuy
solution plus with some extra extra time will get the job done.
- make sure that the software was writeen for wireless scanners. Generic
one might cause issues when used on unreliable network (as compared to
office etherent).

Good luck,
