 I think both keyboards are ridiculous.

 I very much like the tactile feedback of the blue Cherry keyswitches used in
 the Das Keyboard II...however, you can get pretty much the same keyboard,
 minus the blank key caps, by buying a Scorpius M10 (for around $40).

 Personally, I don't care much for the numpad...and I'd rather have all my keys
 easily reachable from the home row.  The HHKB layout is perfect for me...but
 although the springs used in the Pro version (with the electrical capacitive
 keyswitches) are decent, I'd prefer the HHKB layout with either blue or brown-
 colored Cherry keyswitches or buckling springs.

 Unicomp is, supposedly, coming out with a true space saver keyboard utilizing
 buckling springs Q2 of this year...so there is hope.  :)
