Hmmm. It's not listed in RFC 3330 as a special use IP
range, it's not on Team Cymru's bogon list, and whois
says it's still IANA reserved. So you are safe for now,
but by 2010 when the IPv4 space runs out, you might have
to move to an actual RFC1918 private address (10.0.0.0/8,
172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16).
10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2 are good for people who think allocating
and entire class A range to a point to point link is amusing.
It's what xkcd would do :-)
Mostly I'm using 172.17 and 172.18 myself these days. They
are less commonly in conflict with the '10 crowd on the one
hand and the 192.168 default on all the home broadband modems
and routers on the other.
