To say I "know" Anthony would be a little bit of a stretch. I will
say, however, that he's the only person with which I've video chatted
on Empathy. Given the limited knowledge I have of the situation, I'm
excited about he new leadership and I'd certainly encourage any Ubuntu
users out there to get involved.

As somewhat of an aside, right now is an excited time for
Canonical/Ubuntu. Canonical has worked out a DRM-free distribution
deal with major record labels that will be available in the next
release (10.04). Also, their team is working with Google on the
Chrome OS. I also always like to point out when I appear to be an
Ubuntu-fanboy that I run a CentOS server and several Fedora clients at
work. There's plenty of love to go around. :)

This message is intended to clear up whatever confusion Wisconsin
LoCoers might have about the status of leadership of the team. I
(uberushaximus) have decided to step down as the official leader of the
team and have nominated Anthony (h00k) to be out team leader. Below is
h00k's message to the team, wish him the best of luck.

Greetings, everyone!  Trevor and I coming to you live from the Wisconsin
LoCo Mailing List.  I am Anthony Hook, and I am enthusiastically taking
Trevor's position as the Wisconsin LoCo Team Leader.

A little about me:

I am a Senior at the University of Wisconsin Superior, studying Computer
Science.  I have used Ubuntu for over 5 years and have been able to test
it on all sorts of hardware.  I love the idea of LoCo's and I'd love to
get some activity going:  IRC meetings, mailing list discussions,
meeting people IRL.  (I'm pretty sure you people really exist out there,
somewhere.)  I've gotten to meet a few of you, and I'd like to meet a
few more.  So far we have 88 people in the Launchpad Group and if we can
get at least half participating in events, that would be stellar.  I'd
love to see you in our newly renamed IRC channel: #ubuntu-us-wi.  If
you're looking for me, on IRC I am h00k,
http://launchpad.net/~anthonyhook, http://wiki.ubuntu.com/AnthonyHook,
and http://anthonyrhook.com.
