Linux

I've come back from the land of palm trees to what I can only assume
is frozen tundra under a sea of white in order to bring you GNUd
tidings of great Linux.
>From the east, a wise man will come bearing the gifts of golden
slides, frankinknowledge and, um, myrrh knowledge. For this wise man
has seen a star in the west (specifically Mountain View) that
signifies our eternal savior and bringer of the inevitable War Against
the Machines. Baby Jesus and our Google overlords will probably be
hanging out with Romeo and Juliet, since we'll be in Verona. (...and,
I'm giving up on this)
--------------
If you have trouble following my
apocalyptic-Christian-influenced-multiple-century-with-Terminators
reference, you could always just look up the info at
http://web608.org/events/2009/11/30/google-and-linux
No spoilers on the awesome name of the road the library is on, but I
will tell you the meeting is at the regularly scheduled tech meeting
time of first Saturday (the 2nd in this case) at 2pm.
We're still looking for a permanent, central location, so if you've
got one, quite holding out!
--------------
For more fun, post your best geeky-holiday reminder. (no, seriously, do it!)
Bonus points for inclusion of Festivus or Kwanzaa.
